The Times They Are a-Changin’

Change is afoot. After just over two years at Phaidon I said my goodbyes today and I start a new job on Monday. It’s slightly weird to say/type it out loud actually as the lovely publisher and Phaidon.com was my refuge from the freelance world of assisting and uncertainty. But now, I’m out of the safe confines of the canal side office in King’s Cross and starting a fresh somewhere different. It’s an exciting feeling.

What will I be doing? Well, I’ll be working for the website of international shopping and tax-refund company Global Blue, with the rather flashy title of Associate Online Editor. I’ll be helping look after Global-Blue.com which reports on everything the international shopper needs to know about their destination; where to stay, what to eat, where to shop and of course what to buy.

What does this mean for LookSeeNow.com and my Twitter feed? I can’t imagine much will change about them content-wise. I hope they’ll get better, perhaps more varied in what I talk about maybe, but the theme will essentially be the same… photography, art, a bit of moaning about the tube, cakes and anything in between.

So as Bob Dylan said “the times they are a-changin'” and whether they’ll be ‘better’ (whatever that means) or different or hard work (most probably) it’s exciting. Bring it on.
