First instalment from the Frontline Club

I’ve got a new gig, I’m going to be writing up various talks, film screenings and panel discussions for the Frontline Club. You can read the first instalment about World Press Photo award winning photographer Andrew McConnell’s new project on the Frontline Club BlogΒ but first listen to the answers to the quick questions I asked McConnell on the night and read an extract from the talk below.

“The whole reason for this project is this new phenomenon, that refugees no longer flee to camps, that the old stereotypes don’t really fit anymore. Β Over half the world’s refugees live in cities. And so what I hope to achieve with the work is to challenge those stereotypes and hopefully present a new way of viewing refugees in the modern world.”
